THROUGH AN ARTIST’S LENS
EDITORIAL - PHOTOGRAPHY
THE BRIEF.
For this project, I was tasked with creating a collection book centered around a theme of my choosing. I chose to curate a selection of my own photography, building a visual narrative that reflects different aspects of my life and personal experiences. Rather than organizing the work chronologically, the book is structured around emotion, environment, and memory. It is a collection of my moments captured in time.
The goal was to design a publication that feels intentional and intimate, where layout, pacing, and typography support the imagery without overpowering it. Through careful sequencing and restraint in design, the book invites viewers to move through the collection as they would a story.

THE LOOK.
The book’s visual system is built on contrast and consistency. A predominantly black background establishes a controlled, gallery-like framework that allows the photography to remain the focal point. Full-bleed images interrupt this structure strategically, creating shifts in pacing and visual hierarchy.
All typography is set in white Neue Kabel Medium or Bold, selected for its geometric clarity and modern presence. The restrained typographic palette ensures legibility while maintaining a strong visual identity. Color is used sparingly, appearing only in small accent details on each spread that reference tones from the corresponding photo set.
